BETA BETA BETA BIOLOGICAL HONOR SOCIETY

PHI-ETA CHAPTER

The three purposes of TRI-BETA:

  • To promote scholarship in the biological sciences;
  • To promote the dissemination of biological knowledge;
  • To encourage research.

BETA BETA BETA (TRI-BETA) is a society for students, particularly undergraduates, with the goals of improving the understanding and appreciation of biological study and extending the boundaries of human knowledge through scientific research.

Since its founding in 1922 by Dr. Frank G. Brooks at Oklahoma City University (Alpha Chapter), more than 175,000 persons have been accepted into lifetime membership, and more than 370 chapters have been established throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

The Tri-Beta society at Adams State College (Phi-Eta Chapter) gives you an opportunity to meet students who share the same interest.  Anyone interested in biology is welcome as you can be an associate or active member ( details ).  You will get to know more about the biology faculty at ASC, learn about the various careers which you are interested via various speakers, know upperclassmen, and attend conventions to broaden your horizons.

As an ASC Associated Students and Faculty organization, we also participate in campus-wide events such as the haunted house, homecoming, casino night, Grizzily Daze et cet era.   We also reach out to the community by organizing community service projects.  To top it all, we also have socials for everyone to relax and have fun.  To join, attend one of our meetings (time, date and venue will be announced regularly) contact, Dr. Kleier , our officers or any faculty member of the biology department!
